Its been a while since my blog updated, but here I guess I can say what I want, with little restriction, and be heard, I guess.
There really is a leech on our society, but its not the poor. The Repignicans want us to believe the rich or the bankers are being persecuted, or are frowned upon.
They hold an exorbitant amount of the wealth of the country in their pocket, they can get away with murder, they try their best not to interact with "peasants", and they have a legion of fanboys and their own disgusting, pus spewing offspring to defend them.
If you make it big, so sayeth the Republican Party, woe be upon thee who questions you or would impose basic rule of law upon you.
That's not the lifestyle of a persecuted minority. That is the lifestyle of an oppressor, a group who can - and will - run this country into the ground for maximum profit.
To them, socialists like me are still as scary as they ever were in the 1960's. Some of the disgusting little turds even think its still illegal somehow to identify as socialist.
I admit, it does give me a little thrill to know a rich guy would be scared of me.
I reserve a special hatred for the spawn of their loins - their disgusting, inbred, malignant, pus spewing, canker sore riddled children. They get the choice of schools, they get the WASP's treatment in an expedited process through a college, and the knowledge they have some money now, but they'll have all of daddy's fortune and more eventually.
They can get away with murder by claiming Affluenza, they can vandalize property as much as they want and do basically whatever they want. So basically exactly like their parents.
This lifestyle guarantees they'll continue to say Screw The Rules I Have Money / Connections when they are adults. They can cause as much damage as they want, as many recessions as they want, as many Housing Crashes as they want, and nobody will ever charge them anything for it.
These people (I hesitate to even call them people sometimes) are the curse upon a once great nation. A nation, even though its xenophobes and racists are loathe to admit, which is not a superpower, nor is it exceptional any longer.
If it ever was.
The myth of American Exceptionalism might well have given rise to some of this arrogance. Americans have a "proud" history of declaring their rule over South America, committing genocide on Native Americans, and enslaving human beings for far longer than other civilized countries.
We are only exceptional in that we have a singularly ineffective and unstable political system and Capitalistic Society that the leeches and hangers on stubbornly refuse to change out of fear of socialism.
They fear everyone being made equal. The rich fear thinking they might have to look at the poor too long, and that their empathy might kick back in.
As they are now, they are violent chimpanzees - pliant and nice one moment, and then testifying angrily on Fox News and such, advocating mass murder of dissenters against Christianity, and committing financial fraud.
They have been granted the reins of power for so long, they are like animals unto their fellow man. They, I am willing to bet, detest to even call their fellow man that. They like to think of themselves, I think, as a higher power chosen by their deity, for reasons I cannot even fathom.
They embrace the ideal of Greed Is Good and Trickle Down Economics, even though Greed in their own holy dogma is a Deadly Sin, and Trickle Down has been factually proven to not work.
Both parties - Repignican and Democrat - are effectively patsies of the rich. The Repignicans are flamboyantly obvious in their homophobia and racism, but the Democrats, while they talk and banter of equality and social causes, they are unwilling to challenge Republicans and would never dream of changing the status quo of Capitalism.
A status quo that encourages rich people to continue their violent chimpanzee tendencies, and which results in generations more having to bear the yoke of rich loinspawn.
